Re:LIFE Inc is looking for a Corporate Event Planner to help plan its event, including its first annual Gala Concert. You will be responsible for organizing and managing all aspects related to the establishment of the event. You must be able to handle many different tasks, often under severe time pressure. You need good interpersonal and communication skills, as you'll be dealing with many different groups of people, including presenters, customers, audiovisual technicians, catering staff and team members. You must be able to give clear instructions and motivate the event team to deliver results.
Must be able to select an approporiate venue and offer facilities for catering and presentation. You will also be responsible for checking venue facilities and ensuring that event teams and staff are aware of their duties. Should be able to put together a program, identify topics that are relevant to our audience and develop a timed schedule.
Candidates will need an understanding of the different aspects of event planning, including logistics, catering, marketing and presentation. You must also be familiar with companies in the NYC and Harlem community that supply event services or facilities, such as conference centers, hotels, catering firms, audiovisual specialists and set builders. Additional experience in a related field, such as hospitality management, advertising, successful social media campaigns, public relations or marketing will be helpful but not required.
